About a month ago Sarah complained about the boneheadedness of automated teller machines. I was delighted, then, to discover Wells Fargo’s recent addition to the ATMs at the local branch, the unimaginatively named MyATM(tm). Simply put, MyATM allows the customer (in this case, me, hence MyATM) select their quick withdrawal amount and whether the withdrawal (future quick withdrawals, that is) should be accompanied by a receipt. The customer’s selections are then immortalized in the form of a button on the machine’s entry page. Modulo the requirement that the quick withdrawal amount must be a multiple of $20 and the customer is required to enter the amount in dollars and cents, it’s really quite handy. Strange, then, that I was unable to find any mention of this new feature on the interweb. I “made” Sarah take pictures the last time we drove by said ATMs, so look for them soonest.
