A certain user “elmotan” has discovered the feature to which I had previously alluded: the new iPod pauses itself when the headphones are removed.
My favorite feature of the new iPod is an exceedingly small one and I don’t think it’s called out in any marketing or support materials. Still, I think it’s very cool (and not just because I’m very familiar with it), so I’ll be paying close attention to the usual discussion fora over the upcoming days to see how long it takes for anyone to notice it.
